 REVIEW:

Hey I love dystopians so sue me :) Anyway so I finished Legend last week and I have to say loved loved loved it!! The characters June and Day work very well together they are both very strong lead characters for the book and Marie Lu did a great job of developing them throughout the story. The story itself is your typical dystopian corrupt government, rebellion etc. some parts are predictable but it didn't take away from the fun factor and their are quite a few cliffhangers that will keep you guessing and have those OMG moments all in all Legend is a really good book and I can't wait for the second installment in the series!

PLOT:
In Beatrice Prior’s dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can’t have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she’s chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she’s kept hidden from everyone because she’s been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves… or it might destroy her.
Debut author Veronica Roth bursts onto the literary scene with the first book in the Divergent series—dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance.
REVIEW:
I know what your thinking after reading The Hunger Games nothing can compare right? Well this for me is kind of like Hunger Games but it does have its differences first of all the setting for the story is wonderful for me since I only live a couple hours from Chicago it’s very familiar which I loved! Second Tris is a very strong female lead for the book she can take just about anything and give it back just as well. Four seems like the bad boy at first but develops quite differently later in the story the chemistry between Four and Tris is brilliant they meld well together and you just want to keep rooting for them. I’m not going to get into too much detail since it would contain spoilers on that note here is my advice if you enjoyed Hunger Games you will love this book!
